Meltkraft Open, Mouths Watering

A look inside Meltkraft in Park Slope.

Valley Shepherd Creamery's highly anticipated grilled cheese shop, Meltkraft, opened this week and is serving up grilled cheeses and an extensive list of beers and coffees to go along with its homemade cheeses and breads.

General manager Samantha Safer said that they had been very busy getting everything ready and things are going well since opening.

We stopped in Thursday and tried one of their unique, mouth-watering grilled cheeses, the Melter Skelter, as a steady stream of customers strolled in and out during lunch time.

The shop currently has 10 beers on top, including a variety of Smutty Nose brews, as well as more choices in cans and bottles in the cooler.

Click through the images above for a look at the taps and cheeses. For more on our sandwich choice, check out the new Tastes of Park Slope blog, an open blog where you can posts pictures and more about your lunch as well.
