Louise Crawford, Neighbor

Louise Crawford runs Only the Blog Knows Brooklyn, a popular Brooklyn blog founded in 2004. Until recently she was the Smartmom columnist for the Brooklyn Paper. She runs the Brooklyn Blogfest, an annual event for bloggers and entreprenuers. Monthly, she produces Brooklyn Reading Works, a reading series at The Old Stone House in Park Slope presenting themed events, including Edgy Mother's Day and the Memoirathon.  A freelance writer, her articles have appeared in Newsweek.com, the Brooklyn Paper, and are carried by the Associated Press. Articles about Louise have appeared in The New York Times, the City Room blog and in CrainsNY. She is a recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York Council for the Humanties for her documentary film, In a Jazz Way. Since 1991, she has lived in Park Slope with her two children and her husband, Hugh Crawford, a photographer. And yes,  she is a member of the Park Slope Food Coop. When she's not writing, she loves to read, run and ruminate. She thinks her kids are cool and her favorite music is by her son, Henry Crawford.
