Police Blotter: Thief Snatches Designer Purse with $3K in Goods from Dino BBQ
The crook got away with the victim's iPhone, Marc Jacobs wallet, Chanel wallet, $300 necklace, $300 sunglasses and more.

A quick-handed thief snatched a woman’s designer purse with almost $3,000 worth of electronics and designer goods from inside a new BBQ restaurant on Union Street June 23.
The 34-year-old victim told police that she was eating at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, which opened on June 19, and placed her $900 Louis Vuitton purse on the back of her chair at 8 p.m. Five minutes later, her purse was gone. The crook, who was caught on surveillance video, also got away with the victim’s iPhone, Marc Jacobs wallet, Chanel wallet, $300 necklace, $300 sunglasses, ID cards, MetroCard, four credit cards and house keys. The crook, who got away with $2,700 of goods, was described as a black man around 22 years old and was wearing a black baseball hat, black pants and a grey t-shirt.

Another Purse Snatch
A crook stole over $3,000 in electronics from a woman’s purse at a Union Street café June 29.
The 49-year-old victim told police she was hanging out at Tea Lounge, between Sixth and Seventh avenues, at 7 p.m. and put her bag down for a few minutes, with her Apple laptop, iPad, iPhone, and external hard drive inside. When she went to retrieve her belongings a few minutes later, they were gone. The crook got away with all of her electronics, worth a total of $3,170.
