Police Blotter: Crook Breaks-In to Car on Baltic Street and Steals Airbag

Airbag Swiped from Car  

A crook broke into a car parked on Baltic Street and stole the airbag, radio, air conditioner system, and the shifter sometime between April 26 to April 28.  

The victim told police that she parked her red Nissan on Baltic Street, between Fourth and Fifth avenues, at 7 p.m. April 26. When she returned to her Maxima April 28 at 11 a.m., she found that a crook broke into it and gutted over $2,000 in parts. The crook got away with the car’s steering wheel airbag, the AM/FM radio, the HVAC system and the shifter. 

Burglar Smashes Door Open for Apple Laptop  

A burglar smashed in the front door of a Fourth Avenue apartment and stole an Apple laptop on April 23.  

The 35-year-old victim told police that he left his ground floor apartment, between Second and Third streets, at around 10 a.m. and locked the front door. When he returned home just over 12 hours later at 10:30 p.m., he found that a burglar had smashed in his front door, including the entire doorframe, and stole his roommate’s Apple MacBook Pro laptop.
