Alt Country meets Prog Rock???
Even with every music genre crossing over into every other, here's a convergence you might not have seen coming. Alabama singer/songwriter Dennie Hausen (Bleeding Hearts Choir, The Kidneys) teams up with goth/psychobilly guitar slinger Jon Blackstone Steele (Furniture, Paper Dolls) and they seem to share an appetite for odd meters and complex chord tensions. Hausen's sensuous voice keeps it pretty while Steele's harmonic explorations on a unique hybrid guitar/bass he calls a "dual-range guitar" keep it twisted.
