5/29: Park Slope playwright Jerry Polner's "Fix Number Six," zany new comedy

Park Slope resident Jerry Polner, whose comic pieces can be seen online at McSweeney's and Political Subversities, has a zany new comedy titled "Fix Number Six," premiering May 29 for six performances at the 5th annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity - New York's premier eco-friendly theatre festival.

"Fix" tells of Jane, a frustrated travel agent, who dreams of pursuing her true calling as an international spy.  Then a rich, lovesick customer suddenly gives her an opportunity.  Directed by Michael Criscuolo, it features several members and guest artists from Brooklyn's esteemed Brick Theater in Williamsburg, including, in the role of Jane, Moira Stone, just acclaimed by TimeOut NY a few weeks ago as a "magnetic performer."

At each of Planet Connections' more than 40 productions, donations are solicited for a chosen community or environmental cause, and "Fix" will raise funds for the BlueGreen Alliance, which unites labor and environmental organizations

Performances are Wed. May 29 at 7 PM; Thursday May 30 at 4 PM; Monday June 3 at 9 PM; Tuesday June 11 at 7 PM; Thursday June 13 at 4:30 PM; and Saturday June 15 at 12:30 PM.  For tickets, visit www.planetconnections.org/fix-number-six, or call OvationTix at 866-811-4111.
