Community Board to Review Methodist's Revised Expansion Plan

After initial and slightly revised plans were rejected by Community Board 6 and deemed too large by many locals and community groups, New York Methodist Hospital will present further revised plans to CB6 Monday night.

Plans will be unveiled at the CB6 meeting at 6 p.m. at the John Jay Educational Campus auditorium, 237 7th Ave.

Methodist recently posted revised plans on its website and will provide in detail what changes were made at Monday's meeting.

The expansion, which would require the demolition of 16 buildings (including some historic brownstones) requires zoning variances from the Board of Standards and Appeals.
