Henk Friezer is an award-winning photographer who has been covering local communities for 50 years. After starting off as a sportswriter for his school, Friezer switched to photojournalism after winning the prestigious Kodak High School photo awards two years in a row (both times for sports photos). He took his photo apprenticeship in Delft , Holland with a top Dutch photographer and had a three year stint with U.S. army, where he was sent all over Europe to take photos that others could not. Henk has worked for local news publications for many years, garnering numerous awards for them. He has photographed celebrities, stars, presidents and everyday people. He loves people and recording them with his camera. He credits his photographic knowledge to his late father (Joe) who was one of the most famous photographers in the world.
