Colin Jones recently moved to New York  to attend graduate school at NYU's Studio 20, a program focused on innovation in journalism. A graduate of The University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C., Colin has worked at Offbeat Magazine in New Orleans, GRITtv with Laura Flanders, Death+Taxes and The Daily Gamecock. 
Where I'm Coming From:  Since you're going to be reading my work I thought I should reveal some personal things. I am a son of the midwest being born and raised in Cleveland, Oh. Politically I lean to the liberal side, read the New Yorker, have an unnatural obsession with the city of New Orleans and listen to NPR occasionally. I enjoy writing and reporting on kooky neighborhoods and the people that inhabit them, music, politics and the general weirdness of this life.
