The Park Slope Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library was closed for a two-year renovation beginning in October 2009. TheMore renovation will include the installation of handicapped accessible facilities as well as new floors, lighting and furniture. In the meantime, Bookmobile service is available on Mondays from 11am to 4pm and Wednesdays from 1pm to 6pm at Eighth Street and Sixth Avenue.

The central branch of the Brooklyn Public Library contains a catalogue that includes books, magazines, periodicals,More reference texts and multimedia materials, as well as manuscripts, photographs and maps. Memorabilia and other ephemera are also included in the collection. The facility is wheelchair-accessible and has a book drop, copy machines, bicycle racks, meeting rooms and free wireless internet.
