When walking into Yamato Restaurant, a trick will be played on you. The sushi-chic design and eye-grabbing preparation bar will lead you to envision an empty wallet; when you open the menu though, you'll be transformed into a primed and ready customer. Athough it's not as cheap as delivery, the list of $5 rolls, $8 fried rice entrees and $12-$14 house specialties seems like a steal considering the atmosphere of the place. Another plus at Yamato is the restaurant-long mirror tilted at a 45-degree angle above the tables. This way, if you're sitting on the opposite wall, you can get a sneak peak of the cuisine (and customer reactions) before you make a selection.
