Park Slope Agenda: Music, Nature and Pet Blessings

What's happening in and around Park Slope this weekend.

Haven't made plans yet for this weekend? Here are a few ideas happening in and around Park Slope.

- The orchestral group Shattered Glass is set to perform in the Concerts On The Slope program at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 139 St Johns Pl., on Oct. 6 at 3 p.m.

- Join Dan Farella for an insightful walk around Prospect Park discovering all of the edible and medicinal wonders that are present Saturday at 2 p.m.

- New York's own "Unofficial Commissioner of Public Spirit" Mama Donna Henes, Urban Shaman, will offer your pets sacred blessings. Bring your pets – on leashes, in carriers, cages or bowls – to this non-denominational Brooklyn Blessing of the Animals at Grand Army Plaza Saturday at 2 p.m.

- Alabama singer/songwriter Dennie Hausen (Bleeding Hearts Choir, The Kidneys) teams up with goth/psychobilly guitar slinger Jon Blackstone Steele Saturday at Freddy's Bar at 10 p.m.

- On Oct. 6, thousands of people from across the tri-state area
will convene for Bike MS NYC to show their support and raise money for MS research. Visit www.bikeMSnyc.org for more information.
