What's happening this weekend in and around Park Slope.

There's never a shortage of events in and around Park Slope during the weekends. Here are a few ideas to get your weekend planning started.

Friday

Wangechi Mutu: A Fantastic Journey is the first survey in the United States of this internationally renowned, Brooklyn-based artist. It opens at 11 a.m. at the Brooklyn Museum.

- Project Playdate plans fun, educational drop off playdates for children at participating play spaces and attractions around NYC and hits Kidville in Park Slope at 6:30 p.m.

- The Catholic Fellowship of NYC invites you to Fontana's on Nov. 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. for a night of drinks, pool and Rock-n-Roll

- Catch Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers, Elite and Sean Mcverry at The Rock Shop starting at 8 p.m.

Saturday

- Brooklyn Free Space holds its annual Stoop Sale starting at noon. You can donate or shop to benefit the Lourdes Torres-Shepard fund.

- Jazz vocalist (and Park Slope resident) Kathryn Christie teams up with guitarist Jeff Stein and bassist Alex King for a night of jazz and Brazilian music at Cafe Dada at 7 p.m.

Michoel Muchnik, world renowned artist, will speak about the importance of art from an artist's perspective at Congregation B'nai Jacob starting at 8 p.m.

Sunday

Crab Spot, Brooklyn’s prime seafood restaurant is hosting its annual Snow Crab Festival with multiple seatings for all-you-can-eat starting at 12:30 p.m.

- Catch From Bach to Today: A Feast of Musical Colors at St. John's Episcopal Church starting at 2 p.m.
