Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and More This Week

What's happening this week in and around Park Slope.

1. Look for a bit of a wet week with temperatures above freezing early on. It gets colder come Thursday with temperatures maxing out in the 30s.

2. This week is loaded with Thanksgiving Thursday, the beginning of Hanukkah on Wednesday and the start of the holiday shopping season on Black Friday. Don't miss our Brooklyn big box shopping guide for Black Friday, and be on the lookout for local deals later in the week.

3. Slope Wellness hosts a new mothers support group Tuesday at 1 p.m.

4. Looking to go out for your Thanksgiving meal? Palo Santo and Fort Reno BBQ are among the local restaurants offering Thanksgiving dinner this week.

5.  Prospect Park Track Club will hold its annual Turkey Trot on Nov. 28. The event is sponsored by JackRabbit Sports, supported by New York Methodist Hospital, and organized in partnership with the track teams of Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School. The starting gun sounds at 9 a.m.
