Street Safety Forum, Typhoon Benefit and More This Week

What's happening this week in Park Slope.

The holiday weekend is over and December is underway. Here's a look at what's ahead this week in and around Park Slope.

1. We will enjoy unseasonably warm weather during the week with highs in the 50s at times and partly cloudy skies.

2. Head to Union Hall Monday at 7:30 p.m. for Novelization with SNL writer Bryan Tucker.

3. The Park Slope Street Safety Partnership will host a neighborhood forum on street safety at the Park Slope United Methodist Church Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

4. Following the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan, Chef Dale Talde and the team at Talde, Thistle Hill Tavern and Pork Slope have joined forces with The Green Building and friends in the industry to host a special taste event to raise relief funds benefiting the millions of people affected by the recent storm. Taste 4 The Philippines will take place Wednesday from 7-10 p.m. at The Green Building, 452 Union Street.

5. Elftennis welcomes parents and children to tennis classes for kids under the age of ten with a trial class at Powerplay Kids Tuesday.
