Halloween, Sandy Anniversary This Week

A look at what's happening in and around Park Slope this week.

Start your week off with a list of happenings in and around Park Slope.

- It should stay dry throughout the week, but temperatures will only peak in the mid-60s at times with lows in the 40s.

- This week marks one year since Superstorm Sandy rocked the Brooklyn area. Stay with Patch during the week for a look back at the storm and its effects on the area.

- Halloween is this Thursday, and there will be a ton of events throughout the area to celebrate the holiday beginning Monday night at Union Hall with a show entitled Unmasked.

- Dine out on Oct. 29 at select restaurants and help CHiPS Soup Kitchen and Residence for Young Mothers.

- Enjoy a free Pumpkin Carving for kids and adults at Fort Reno BBQ on Halloween at 5 p.m.

- The Rock Shop Halloween Bash kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Thursday with The Mad Doctors, Wizard Sex, The Bad Cousins and The Mystery Lights.
