Brooklyn Bodega presents a day-long symposium dedicated to critical discussion and intellectual analysis of hip-hop music, culture and business at the today starting at noon. The will have panels on the legacy of New York radio locally and globally; a discussion with acclaimed writer and filmmaker Nelson George and a talk about the tremendous expectations put upon today’s Hip-Hop artist who is expected write, produce, tour and oversee a multiplatform human brand. Wednesday

Each year, the  for a free concert under the stars. Bring a blanket and enjoy one of the world's greatest orchestras including Tchalkovsky, Symphony No. 4; 
Respighi, Fountains of Rome and 
Respighi, Pines of Rome. All pieces will be conducted by Alan Gilbert. A fireworks display rounds out the evening. Meet at Long Meadow Ballfields.

Enjoy a romantic evening of wine and cheese on the charming Boathouse balcony, and then  – a faithful replica of the electric boat, which toured the park at the turn of the 20th century.
