The ENVIROMEDIA MOBILE- SPRING/SUMMER/FALL Children & Families Program Series at IKEA ERIE BASIN PARK continues- Summer Earth Fest 6/25, Treasure Cove Maritime Bacchanal & Red Hook Pirates Fest 7/30,  Sunset Concert and Movie Screening 8/20, Festival of the Ages...Wild about The Estuary 9/24. 

SAT JULY 30th, 11am- 5pm- Brooklyn's TREASURE COVE MARITIME BACCHANAL & Red Hook PIRATES FEST.  Join us for a family fun filled day of maritime enrichment, live music and environmental recreation. 

Highlighted Family Fun Activities:

The Maritime Stories Tent-

• 1000 Days at Sea- Meet a couple of local explorers. Learn about Capt Reid & Soanya's amazing  record-splashing journey at sea, spending the longest days at sea without seeing land, all, aboard Capt Reid's homemade sailboat "Schooner Anne". The Vessell will be anchored on the historic basin for public viewing and will also serve as our featured "Pirate Ship".
• Organization for Black Maritime Graduates ( OMG)- Provide Assistance & Encouragement to Black and other minority undergraduates who are pursuing a career in maritime profession.

• Live Music on the Pirate Cove Stage
• A host of Environmental Recreation Activities for Children & Parents to enjoy including, a Catch and Release Fishing Contest, Fish Kite Flying, Arts & Crafts ( Traditional Japanese Fish Printing), Aquatic Ecology Lab
• Public Tours of the Mobile Nature and Maritime Museum on Wheels- Play our "Quizonart"- Get all the answers correct for and receive a prize from IKEA KIDS TOY.
• Ecocruise aboard UDEC's 32ft Giant Shipping Canoe that accommodates 21 paddlers at a time. Ware a Pirates Hat. Vessel will be piloted by a Pirates crew and will interact with our featured Pirate Ship " Schooner Anne". 

The Festival Series offers OPPORTUNITIES for SPONSORS, VENDORS, ARTISANS, PERFORMERS, VOLUNTEERS and INTERNS

Also offers FREE TABLING OPPT for Local Not For Profits.  Come and Share your resources and services with the community.  Advance registration is required. 

Come as, Play as, VOLUNTEER as the PIRATE, BUCCANEER, BARBARY CORSAIR, BATTARIAN you've always wanted to be. We have a few costumes available for volunteers. We encourage coming with your own.
