The New York City Gay Basketball League (NYCGBL) is New York's first official gay basketball league. We maintain an athletic environment free of discrimination for members and friends of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community.
The league promotes positive values in our community and will fight to eliminate negative stereotypes associated with LGBT athletics.
Each Saturday for 10 weeks during the Spring and Fall, our league plays in Park Slope with games at 10am, 11am, Noon and 1pm on both floors of John Jay High School's Gymnasium. We have nearly 175 women (ages 21-53) who participate in three different divisions and on 16 different teams. Games are open to the public and there is no charge!
