Compassionate Communication: an Ethical Practice

Sunday Platform*
Compassionate Communication: an Ethical Practice
with Diane Kirschner

Ethical Culture stresses the attribution of worth and dignity to all and acting so as to elicit the best in others and thereby in ourselves. Organized congregationally, we seek to live out our values in community with others. How do these values extend to the ways we communicate with others? What choices can we make to increase our connections? What kind of community do we want to create together? Diane Kirschner is a long-time member of Brooklyn Ethical, and a student of Nonviolent Communication.

*Sunday Platforms are a long-standing tradition within Ethical Culture to bring light and heat to matters of ethical concern in a formal setting.
