Woman Indicted for Role in Methodist Drug Ring

Pauline Wiltshire was charged for conspiring to illegally distribute prescription pills.

A former stripper-turned-medical student was indicted last week for her alleged role in a run out of Seventh Avenue’s Methodist Hospital.

A Brooklyn federal grand jury charged former Park Slope resident Pauline Wiltshire, 30, with conspiring to illegally distribute Adderall —the drug commonly used for attention-deficit-disorder. She has been accused of selling the pills over Craigslist and other Internet sites, which were illegally prescribed to her and others by her boyfriend, Dr. Michael H. Gabriel, an anesthesiology resident at the hospital.

Wiltshire was also slammed with a forfeiture charge that will require her to fork over at least $30,000 in proceeds from the drug sales if she is found guilty of the felony. Under federal law, she could also face up to 10 years behind bars.

According to court documents, the ring sold over 11,000 Adderalls between May 2008 and April 2010. Other Methodist residents were also part of the ring, though their names were not made public.

The Drug Enforcement Administration was able to nab the pushers thanks to a member of the ring that cooperated with authorities. After an undercover drug purchase from Wiltshire was made in September, she was arrested on Christmas Day. She is now also living in Ohio, after posting her $100,000 bail. In September, Gabriel pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute the drug and since then has been living in Ohio.

Wiltshire’s attorney did not immediately respond to a call for comment. Wiltshire’s arraignment in Brooklyn federal court is scheduled for next Wednesday before Judge Cheryl L. Pollak.
