F/G Shuttles This Weekend

Here's the scoop on this weekend's subway schedules.

Well, after a weekend of snow delayed the project by one week, this weekend the next phase of the MTA's finally gets under way, wreaking havoc on the lives of anyone who frequents the F/G line in South Brooklyn for at least the next year.

Here's you weekly dose of weekend service changes:

  • This weekend, the F train will not run between Jay Street-MetroTech and Church Avenue in preparation for the Culver Viaduct work. Instead, a free shuttle bus will replace the train.
  • Ditto for the G train, which will be replaced by a free shuttle bus between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue.
  • Begining Monday, both trains will provide only Brooklyn-bound service through May at Smith-9th Streets and 15th Street-Prospect Park, in addition to other service changes explained in detail .
  • R train service will be suspended in entirety this weekend.
  • New Lots Avenue-bound 4 trains will skip Bergen Street, Grand Army Plaza and Eastern Parkway stations.
  • Flatbush Avenue-bound 2 trains will skip Bergen Street, Grand Army Plaza and Eastern Parkway stations.
  • D trains will run local between DeKalb Avenue and 36th Street in Brooklyn.
