Vehicle Flips Over on 14th Street

A driver sustained minor injuries after her vehicle flipped over approaching Eighth Avenue.

A vehicle was barreling down 14th Street early this morning when it flipped over, according to police.

At around 7:18 a.m. the black Subaru was approaching Eighth Avenue on 14th Street, when it overturned, smashing the windows of the driver’s door and rear.

The driver was removed from the overturned vehicle and taken to Lutheran Hospital, according to the Fire Department. Police said she sustained only minor injuries.

“The car was upside down in the middle of the street, it was so crazy,” said a P.S. 107 school crossing guard who arrived at work around 7:45 a.m. to a find a crowd of police cars and ambulances.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident and police said that they are still investigating the accident’s cause.
