Thursday Morning Fire Injures Two
Fire began on first floor of four story building in Park Slope.
A fire in a four-story Park Slope brownstone Thursday morning resulted in minor injuries for one resident and one firefighter.
According to the FDNY, units were first called to 334 8th St. in Park Slope at 9:19 a.m. Thursday. The fire was in the first story of the four story building and was put under control at 10:10 a.m.
One resident suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention. A firefighter was treated at New York Methodist Hospital for minor injuries.
NYC Fire Wire reports state that primary searches were delayed due to 'Collyers Mansion' conditions. The NY Red Cross reported on Twitter that it was on scene and helped six residents.
