A crook nabbed a woman's purse with $500 inside while sitting on a public bench in front of Atlantic Terminal June 23.
The 59-year-old victim told police she placed her purse next to her while she sat on a bench in front of Atlantic Terminal near Hanson Place at 3:45 p.m. The victim bent down to adjust her sandal and when she got up to leave, she realized her bag was gone. The bag contained her credit cards, passport, ID and $500 in cash. The victim was able to cancel her credit cards before the theif was able to use them.

Unknown Object Slashing
A 20-year-old man slashed another man across the face with an unknown object during an argument inside a Wyckoff Street apartment June 30.
The 18-year-old victim told police that the argument started between a 20-year-old man while at a Wyckoff Street apartment near Nevins Street at 2:15 a.m. What began as an exchange of words escalated quickly, and the 20-year-old slashed the victim across the left side of his face with an unknown object. The victim suffered cuts as a result of the attack.
