Fire investigators are looking into the source of the flames

Fire investigators are looking into what sparked a Sunday morning fire that broke out on the first floor of a four-story building, located at 436 5th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.

Twelve units and 60 firefighters were called to the scene of the mixed occupancy building in Park Slope, at approximately 11:36 a.m., where the small fire ignited on the ground floor, a salon, said fire officials.

The fire was put out by 12:06 p.m. One firefighter suffered a minor injury and was transported to Wykoff Hospital.

Investigators are still looking into the source of the fire.
