UPDATE: Man Charged in Assault

Police make arrest in sexual assault and related attack on a police officer.

UPDATE: Police have arrested Jesse Dailey, 34, of Park Slope in regards to the officer assault. Dailey is charged with Felony Assault, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration and Assault. 

Original Story (posted Nov. 20) Police in the 78th precinct are searching for a man who reportedly grabbed an 11-year-old girl's buttocks Monday in Park Slope and a man who later assaulted a police officer investigating the incident.

On Nov. 18 at 4:10 p.m. a man grabbed the 11-year-old girl in front of 397 4th Street and then fled the scene. There were no reported injuries, police said. The suspect is described as a 25 to 35-year-old male white, between 5'9" and 5'11" tall with a slim build.

Later on at 5th Avenue and 9th Street a man matching the description attacked an officer when she stopped him in regards to the sexual assault. He then ran away, police said. The officer was transported to Methodist Hospital and was treated for a dislocated shoulder. According to police, the suspect was also a slim white male wearing a hat and a shirt of the band 'A Perfect Circle'.
