A New Sexual Assault Reported in Park Slope

The attacker's description is similar to the one who terrorized the area last spring.

A sexual assault—reminiscent of those that roiled the area —occurred in Park Slope Wednesday morning.

According to police, the attack took place around 5:20 a.m. on 16th Street between 4th and 5th avenues. Witnesses told police that a female had been groped in the "front midsection" by a Hispanic male.

According to officers in the 72nd Precinct, the victim was not on the scene when police arrived, though the initial caller claimed to know where she was, and that they would go get her.

The officers reported that they left the scene after allegedly waiting "for some time," but were called back a short time later by the same caller, who still did not have the victim present. The officers left again, and no arrests have been made.

The crime—as well as its handling by police—are both being investigated, and video footage is being reviewed, police said.

The NYPD is not telling the truth. There were three witnesses that saw them do NOTHING, and let the attacker go. I hope the press buries the 72nd on this one.

Or lead to the two cops getting fired for not doing their jobs.

Not rumored, very specific as told to CCGH and CB7. It'll all come out in the news later today/tomorrow.

I hope the NYPD investigates this incident and reprimand those officers if this is true. But on the other hand cannot say i blame the cops one bit in a way because of all the police bashing going on these days. They are getting blamed for everything.
