Purse Snatcher on PPW

Police are pursuing a suspect in two Saturday robberies, including one on Prospect Park West and Windsor Place.

Police are on the hunt for a thug who robbed a woman last Saturday on Windsor Place and Prospect Park West, and then smacked the her in the face with his gun.

At around 5:00 a.m., a man approached a man and woman as they were walking down the street near Prospect Park West. The robber flashed his gun and demanded their property, according to police.  He then struck the woman with his gun, snatched her purse and fled in a dark SUV. The woman received a laceration to her face, and was treated at a local hospital.

Police believe that the same suspect is responsible for a second robbery only a hour and half earlier on Sullivan and Van Brunt streets in Red Hook. The robber again flashed a gun and demanded property, snatching this victim’s wallet and fleeing in his SUV.
