Police: Man Stole Phone on 'B' Train at Flatbush Ave. Station

Police searching for man who stole woman's phone in 78th precinct.

Police are looking for a man wanted for grand larceny after stealing a woman's phone on the 'B' train at Flatbush Avenue Station in the 78th precinct.

On Sept. 17 at 1:20 p.m., a 42-year-old woman was riding the north bound "B" train when the man, who was sitting across from her on the train, stood up as the train reached the Flatbush Avenue station, grabbed her Samsung Galaxy cell phone and ran off the train.

There were no injuries reported in the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.

Tips can also be submitted to the Crime Stoppers Website or by texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES), then entering TIP577.
