Police Looking for Man in Connection to 2011 Murder in South Slope

The NYPD is asking the public to help find Armando Vasquez, 40, in connection with a homicide on Third Avenue and 16th Street in March 2011.

 

The NYPD has named a person of interest during the continued investigation of the murder of a 21-year-old man in March 2011 on Third Avenue.

According to the NYPD, on Wednesday March 16, 2011 police from the 72nd Precinct were called to Third Avenue and 16th Street for a male assaulted at around 5:20 a.m.

Police said that upon arrival, they discovered the body of an unidentified man in his 20’s lying unconscious on the ground with stab wounds to his back.

The victim was taken to Lutheran Medical Center and pronounced dead on arrival. Police were able to identify the victim on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 as Alberto Garcia, 21, of 60th Street, Brooklyn.

Now police are asking for the public's assistance in locating Armando Vasquez, a 40-year-old Hispanic male picture above, wanted in connection with the homicide.
