Wallet Snatch

A quick-handed crook stole a man’s wallet from the newly-opened Franny’s on Flatbush Avenue and got away with $400 in cash, a $200 designer leather wallet and four credit cards on April 15.

The 32-year-old victim told police that he was eating at Franny’s, which opened its new location Sterling and St. Johns places recently, and paid the check at around 11 p.m. with his Platinum American Express credit card. He replaced his Amex card inside his wallet, but left the wallet on the table and left Franny’s with his friend. When he realized he didn’t have his leather Barney’s wallet five minutes later, he went back inside and looked for it, but it was gone. The restaurant’s staff said that they did not see it.
