Shoplifter Steals Guitar
Police arrested a shoplifter who stole a $1,600 guitar from a Flatbush Avenue musical instrument store on March 24.

A 33-year-old employee of Guitar Center told police that the crook, a 28-year-old Hispanic man standing 5-foot-8 and weighing 170 lbs., walked into the store and placed a black Stingray guitar into his bag and walked out of the store. The shoplifter was caught on surveillance video stealing the $1,600 guitar and police arrested him a day later.

A thief stole a $200 backpack with a designer watch, clothing and cash inside from a basketball court on Bergen Street.
The two victims, a 20-year-old and 18-year-old, told police that they put their belongings into a backpack and left it against the Dean Street playground’s fence at around 4:55 p.m., between Sixth and Carlton avenues, to play basketball. After the game, they went to get their stuff but it was gone. The crook got away with the $200 backpack, $250 Fossil watch, $16 cash, two pairs of pants, cleats, sweatshirts, two credit cards, and a cell phone.
