Man Arrested After Snatching Purse at Fourth Avenue Gas Station

24-year-old Kenroy John allegedly took a woman's Louis Vuitton purse from her car as she went to pay for fuel at a local gas station.

The following information was supplied by the NYPD’s 78th Precinct. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police arrested a 24-year-old man Aug. 4 for stealing a woman's purse from her car after she left the vehicle to pay for gas at a Fourth Avenue gas station.

At approximately 2 p.m. on Aug. 3, a 30-year-old woman told police she entered a gas station located on the corner of Douglass Street and Fourth Avenue to pay for her fuel.

As she was in the station paying, 24-year-old Kenroy John allegedly took her Louis Vuitton purse from the seat of her car. The purse and its contents, including credit cards, an iPhone, wallet and cash, was worth $2,300. 

Police arrested John the next day.
