A burglar stole a pair of diamond earrings from a President Street apartment back in January.

The 34-year-old victim told police that she came home to her apartment on Jan. 5, took off her Buchroeder's diamond earrings, worth $1,800, and put them on a shelf inside her home, between Fourth and Fifth avenues, and left. When she returned that same day at 4 p.m., she realized they were missing. She told police that her superintendent had multiple contractors doing working inside her apartment that day. She didn’t report the crime until June 5.
