Police Blotter: Burglar Steals $30,000 in Electronics, Jewelry and Cash from Pacific Street Home
A burglar broke into the apartment through the back window and got away with a wad of cash, $25,000 in jewelry and three laptops.

The $30K Laptop and Jewelry Heist
A burglar broke into a Pacific Street apartment and stole over $30,000 in electronics, jewelry and cash on May 30.
The 58-year-old victim told police that she left her Pacific Street apartment, between Fourth and Fifth avenues, at 1 p.m. When she returned home at 2:18 p.m. she found that a burglar broke in through the apartment's rear window and stole a whopping $30,300 in electronics, jewelry and cash. The crook, who was caught on camera climbing in through the back window, stole three laptops, $25,000 in assorted jewelry, and $2,600 in cash.
Smash ‘N Grab
A thief broke into a car parked on Union Street and stole a $3,000 camera and over $3,000 in lenses on May 29.
The 41-year-old victim told police that he parked his Hyundai on the southeast corner of Union Street and Third Avenue at 7:30 p.m., left his camera in a bag, locked the doors and left. When he returned to his car at 8:30 p.m. that same night he found that someone had smashed his passenger side window and stole his belongings. The crook got away with a total of $6,250 in electronics, including a Nikon camera, two Nikon lenses, six memory cards and a shoulder camera bag.
