Burglar Steals Gold and Electronics
A burglar stole $1,565 in electronics and jewelry from a St. Marks Place apartment on March 28.

The 44-year-old victim told police that he left his apartment, between Fourth and Fifth avenues, to go to work from 11 a.m. through 6:50 p.m. and locked the door. But when he came back home, he found that someone had broken his front door lock and looted his apartment. The burglar stole a Sony PlayStation, HP laptop, Sony mini camera, a cup of $15 in change, and a 28-inch gold chain and left through the front door.

A quick-handed crook stole a $1,000 bike from its parking spot in front of a Warren Street apartment building March 31.
The 32-year-old victim told police that she left her bike unlocked in front of her apartment building, between Fourth and Fifth avenues, at around 4:40 p.m. When she returned ten minutes later, she saw a bald white man in his 40s, take the $1,099 Bianchi bicycle and ride away. The crook was wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans and rode westbound on Warren Street.
