Man Throws Coffee at MTA Bus Driver

An angry pedestrian threw his morning beverage at a bus driver on Prospect Avenue near 17th Street.

Just days after an MTA bus driver was stabbed with a syringe, an enraged pedestrian heaved a cup of coffee at yet another bus driver on Prospect Avenue near 17th Street.

According to police, the incident occurred Thursday morning around 8:30 a.m., when the driver and the man apparently began to argue over the man's double parked car.

The dispute escalated, allegedly prompting the man to hurl his cup of coffee at the driver's side window, causing some of the hot liquid to splash into the driver's face and in his ear.

Police say the man fled the scene in a green Acura. The driver was treated on the scene.

Any chance of ticketing double parked cars?

Indeed they don't—I meant to write "near." The police are looking into the exact cross street.

Scottilla question is so right on, everyone double parks in Brooklyn. Look on all the blocks with Alt. parking. If the police did ticket these cars we would be rolling in dough. Try doing that in Queens and see how you can kiss your car good bye.
