Man Arrested for Prospect Park Stabbing

The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed Sunday on Long Meadow

Police charged a 37-year-old man with stabbing another man during an argument while playing soccer in Prospect Park on Sunday.

Dwayne Alleune, a Pacific Street resident in Crown Heights, was arrested and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

According to the NYPD, the attack took place at around 4:20 p.m. when the suspect and the victim, a 33-year-old man, got into an argument on the ball fields on Long Meadow off Ninth Street in the park. Alleune allegedly approached the victim from behind and stabbed him with an unknown object.

The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital and is in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
