This doesn't give one assurance about security at the 78th precinct. Hope this guy is caught soon.

I'm a little confused with this information because it seems there is information missing as to how an expected murderer is able to escape. So you are telling me this person wasn't in handcuffs or shackles?
Will Yakowicz (Editor) January 25, 2013 at 05:03 pm
Gary, there is no information missing or left out. This is all the info on this incident that the NYPD has provided. I will update the story when I receive more details on what exactly happened. As of right now, we do not know if he was, or wasn't, in handcuffs, shackles, or restraints.
Best, Will

Whoever did not have him in handcuffs and shackles must be feeling pretty bad. I am glad he got caught before he committed another murder.

Being that it is an election year, if you and other registered voters scream loudly enough, someoneRead More will hear you. This sounds like a job for the 7 On Your Side, or NY1 who may be able to reach NYCDOT and Higher Ranking officials at the 78th PCT to respond to your complaint and do something.
