A forward for the Brooklyn Nets was questioned by Philadelphia police Tuesday in connection with a sexual assault allegation, the New York Daily News reports.
A 21-year-old woman told police she was assaulted at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Philadelphia at around 4 a.m. Tuesday.
No charges have been filed against Andre Blatche, the News reports, and the 26-year-old forward will be playing it tonight’s game in Philly against the 76ers, according to Nets general manager Billy King.
“We are aware of the ongoing police investigation regarding a member of the Brooklyn Nets. We will have no further comment until the investigation has concluded. All of our players are available for tonight's game,” King said in a statement.
According to the News, Blatche tweeted late Tuesday morning that he had nothing to do with the alleged assault, writing “Im ok and I didn't do anything jus was n the area when it happened.”
However, the tweet did not appear on Blatche’s twitter page on Tuesday afternoon.
The Brooklyn Nets moved into Prospect Heights' newly built Barclays Center in September.
