Attempted Bank Robbery on Seventh Ave.

Earlier this afternoon, a man entered the Chase bank on Carroll Street demanding money.

For the second time in one week, this afternoon an attempted bank robbery was made on a Park Slope bank.

At around 2:50 p.m. this afternoon, an unknown male entered the Chase bank on Seventh Avenue and Carroll Street. In an attempt to rob the bank, he passed a note to a bank teller demanding money, but then fled the location without any funds, according to police.

At the moment, police said it is unknown whether this robbery is at all connected to of a Chase bank at Fifth Avenue and 14th Street.

“It just so happens that its two banks are within Park Slope,” said a police source.

The bandit displayed no weapon and there were no injuries in this afternoon’s incident.

Police said they are still on the hunt for the would-be robber.
