Park Slope Resident Cherry M. Blake Passes Away

A wake will be held today, Sunday, Feb. 10 for Cherry Blake, at Duffy Funeral Home on Ninth Street. There will be two viewings at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

 

Cherry M. Blake, longtime Park Slope resident, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Cherry Blake, who lived on St. Marks Avenue with sister of Pauline Blake, died of natural causes.

Cherry was the 78th Precinct Community Council Recording Secretary, working with her sister Pauline, who is the Council President. 

The 78th Precinct Community Council announced Cherry’s passing and has welcomed friends to her viewing to be held today, Sunday, Feb. 10. There will be two viewings, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Duffy Funeral Home, 255 Ninth Street, between Fourth and Fifth avenues.

The funeral mass will be held Monday, Feb. 11 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 116 Sixth Avenue, between Park and Sterling places.

Condolence cards can be sent to the Blake family, c/o 78th Precinct Community Council, at the 78th Precinct, 65 Sixth Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217.
