Written by Joanna Prisco.

1. High five F/G train riders.
A 10:30 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony today, April 26, will officially reopen the Smith-9th Street station, shuttered for the last two years due to construction delays. Acting MTA Chairman Fernando Ferrer and Acting NYC Transit President Carmen Bianco and local community leaders will preside over the event.

2. Wine and dine (lightly).
Feel unskilled in the ways of wine? Learn how to describe tasting notes and different varietals in theArtscorps Salon Selects: Wine Basics class taking place tonight at 12-turn-13, 172 Classon Avenue, $40. Hors d’oeuvres will be on hand.

3. Rock out.
Cobble Hill resident, sister of Beyoncé, recording artist and fashion party DJ Solange Knowles will be performing among the many acts represented at Crossing Brooklyn Ferry tonight. Tickets ($40) are still available to join in on the three-day mishmash festival. BAM locations for sets vary. Click here for a schedule and to purchase passes.

4. Celebrate Arbor Day.
How many types of trees are there in Prospect Park? Excellent question. Learn, enjoy crafts, games and an exhibit all centered on the Park's trees today from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Audubon Center.

5. Move your car.
Alternate side parking is in effect.
