1. See a play. Park Slope resident Jerry Polner, a comedy writer for McSweeney's and Political Subversities, has a “zany” new comedy, "Fix Number Six," which premiers today, May 29 for six performances at the 5th annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity—New York's premier eco-friendly theater festival. Stop by Brooklyn Academy of Music to hear Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo read from his new memoir “Elsewhere.” National Book Foundation’s Harold Augenbraum will moderate the event while Russo will read and discuss his newest book.
