What's Open and Closed This Thanksgiving in Park Slope

Your guide to what's open in Park Slope this holiday.

We like to think we have it all wrapped up come Thanksgiving Day, but sometimes we need that last-minute item, bottle of wine or hostess gift. 

Here is a list of what is open and closed on Thanksgiving Day in Park Slope: 

- All branches of the Brooklyn Public Library are closed today.

- There is no garbage or recycling pick-up. Garbage will be picked up Friday morning and recyclables will be collected next week for those whose normal garbage day is Thursday.

- All government offices and courts are closed, as well as all public schools.

- Alternate side parking is suspended for today and meters are off.

- Key Food on 7th Avenue is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Key Food on 5th Avenue is open 24 hours. 

- The Park Slope Food Coop is open until 2:30 p.m. Union Market is also open until 4 p.m.

- Grab some wine last-minute wine and drinks at Picada Y Vino from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Shawn Fine Wine & Spirits from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- If you need some coffee, a few coffee shops such as Gorilla Coffee (7 a.m. - 3p.m.), Tea Lounge (8 a.m. - 11 p.m.) and Hungry Ghost (7 a.m. - 3 p.m.) will be open.
