Hands Around the Lake

Join fellow geese fans  for “Hands Around the Lake,” a Prospect Park event that aims to demand Mayor Bloomberg  end New York City's contract with the United States Department of Agriculture for the extermination of Canada Geese, and implement humane alternatives to gassing.

Speakers will include NYS Senator Eric Adams, Councilmember Letitia James, Patrick Kwan, NYS Director of the Humane Society of the United States, Scotlund Haisley, President and Founder of Animal Rescue Corps (Washington D.C.) and Edita Birnkrant, NY Director of Friends of Animals.

To participate, meet at the Prospect Park well house, just inside the entrance at Vanderbilt Street and Prospect Park Southwest in Windsor Terrace  at 12:30 p.m. Call (646) 354-9040 for more information.
