Community Corner

Brooklyn Conservatory of Music & Old First Reformed Church Brooklyn Community 9/11 Commemoration

Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and Old First Reformed Church will lead an event commemorating those lost on September 11, 2001. Starting at The Old Stone House, the proceedings will move through Park Slope and conclude at Old First Reformed Church with an interfaith service, which all are encouraged to join. The event aims to present an open platform to those in the community who would like to express their feelings on this ceremonious day through words, music, silence or the relatable arts.

Several local community groups will participate, including Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra, Spoke The Hub, The Old Stone House, String Orchestra of Brooklyn and The Brooklyn Art Song Society. Any individual or group is invited to join in contemplating the loss of the past and the hope of the future.
