Man’s Inhumanity to Humanity

This is a poem about Man's Inhumanity to Humanity throughout the history of our world.

If we look back in time we will see

Crimes committed against humanity

Sick ideas that somehow grew

Slavery, holocaust to name a few

Starvation, torture, prisoners of war

Killing and robbing, breaking the law

Most would shake our heads and say

How did things ever get that way?

How could so many allow it to be?

Closing their eyes, refusing to see

Such inhuman acts against humanity

How blessed am I that it wasn’t me

Yet, many who condemn the past

Sadly will be among the very last

To admit they now walk in the shoes

Of those responsible for killing Jews

Or selling slaves be they black or white

Because they now claim abortion is a right

“It is a woman’s body” we hear them say

As thousands of babies are aborted each day

They lie to the families; their only concern

Is how much more money they can earn

They do all they can to silence our voices today

Hoping to be rid of all who get in their way

But little by little we are turning the tide

For evil will never find a place to hide

God always conquers evil, we can be sure

He has promised to do so for evermore
