SANDY CASH Concert at THE BORDERLINE

On Sunday afternoon, February 16th  The Borderline will be hosting a special
performer who comes to us all the way from Israel.  Her name is Sandy Cash.  This concert, which begins at 2:00 PM, will
take place at the New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 200 – Congers Road, New
City, NY. 10956.

SANDY CASH is a well known singer
songwriter from Michigan who emigrated to Israel 30 years ago.  She has played  Falcon Ridge, Jacob’s Ladder, and many other
big name festivals.  She currently
resides in the Jerusalem suburb of Beit Shemesh.  Sandy’s songs can be satirical, funny,
serious and sad, depending on the topic.
Many of her songs are based on her role as the everyday housewife who is
raising 4 teenage children in a country where there is no separation between
“synagogue and state”.  Some are based on
the political situation in the Middle East and offer an insider’s view that is
seldom covered in the American media.
She also does songs about the American civil rights movement as well as
the European holocaust.  When not singing
folk songs Sandy is a star of Israeli musical theatre, where she just finished
a run as Anna in “The King and I”.  She
has a fantastic voice and is a terrific guitar player.  You will enjoy her professional stage
presence and the rapport that she shares with her audience.  Since The Borderline will be her only New
York area performance on her current tour, we are sure to sell out early.  That means, making advance reservations to
assure a seat is the smart thing to do.
Opening the show is Poughkeepsie based singer songwriter PAT LAMANNA, a
protégé and admirer of Pete Seeger who has greatly influenced her music.

Admission is $20 per person ($15 for
Borderline and Pinewoods members), and we ask that you bring a cold pot luck
dessert dish to share with 4 other people.
Please remember that we are an alcohol free venue.  For reservations and information e-mail solz1@optonline.net  or telephone (845)
354-4586.
